September 12, 2019Farmingdale, NY – September 2019 – On Sunday, October 6th, 2019, Pinelawn Memorial Park And Arboretum will offer guests the chance to take part in their Honey Bee Experience. This educational and fun event will highlight honey bees and their importance to the many gardens and trees on Pinelawn’s grounds while offering guests the opportunity to have a safe, up-close look at the magnificence of these endangered insects.
The Honey Bee Experience will feature enjoyable educational activities such as honey bee arts & crafts, a “Find The Queen” activity where children will search for the queen bee within the observation hive, and fresh honey tasting, making it a fun event for the entire family. Master beekeeper, Steve Chen, will also be present during the event to offer guests a Q&A where they can learn fun facts about honey bees, an up-close look at “Honey On The Comb” and the ability to see beehives and frames up close behind a screened partition.

This is a free event that begins at 11:30 am for check-in and then officially starts at 12:00 pm at Pinelawn’s Louis Natalie Mall on their grounds at 2030 Wellwood Avenue in Farmingdale, New York. Pinelawn’s Honey Bee Experience is safe for children and will include light refreshments.
