Farmingdale, NY – May 2019 – On Sunday, June 2nd, 2019, Pinelawn Memorial Park And Arboretum will offer guests the chance to explore their grounds aboard an old fashioned trolley at their 3rd Annual Arboretum Tour. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about Pinelawn’s various majestic trees as well as the rich history that can be found throughout the massive 840-acre property.
The tour will be guided by James Dublar, a board-certified arborist, who will identify and showcase many noteworthy trees such as the Tupelo, Katsura, American Sweetgum, Nikko Maple, Weeping Canadian Hemlock and Weeping Beech. This is the ideal opportunity for those enamored by nature to immerse themselves in an environment where trees and other botanicals are at their peak. Additionally, those with a fascination for history will find themselves amongst various historical sculptures and architecture.

The free tour begins at the courtyard side of Pinelawn’s office at 2030 Wellwood Avenue in Farmingdale, New York. Guests are offered multiple tour times including 10:30 am, 12:30 pm, and 2:30 pm and are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to their scheduled tour time for check-in. All tours will begin promptly at their designated times and will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Additionally, light refreshments will be served.
