July 3, 2020Ladybug Release 2020
August 11, 2020A FREE, family-friendly event releasing 150,000 ladybugs in Pinelawn’s beautiful rose gardens
About this Event:
Join Pinelawn Memorial Park And Arboretum for its 3rd Annual Ladybug Release event as we demonstrate the use of integrated pest management to control a common pest, the Aphid. At this free kid-friendly event, Pinelawn explains how Aphids cause harm to the health of a variety of plant material and how we can control their population by introducing their natural predator, the Lady Beetle (also known as the Ladybug).
This is a fun, hands-on event as guests release over 150,000 ladybugs in Pinelawn’s rose gardens. Each child receives a coloring activity to take home and explain all they have learned. Light pre-packaged refreshments will be served. This is a FREE event, but registration is required.
