Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum

Visitors are reminded that Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum is a sacred place. It is a private Memorial Park and must remain a place of loving memories and quiet reflection. Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum has the right to refuse admittance to anyone violating this spirit.

The aim of the management is to continue to keep Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum one of the most beautiful cemeteries in America and with your help, this can be done.

We, of course, strongly believe that our plot and mausoleum owners will realize the extensive task that Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum has to perform in order to achieve these goals. We also hope that the purposes behind these rules, which at first may seem unnecessarily restrictive, will be understood and gladly accepted.

Warm Weather Rules Now In Effect

Warm Weather Rules & Regulations for Land Plots
LAND PLOTS

Fresh-cut flowers only may be placed in vases. No artificial flowers or other artificial items are permitted at any time.

Discarded flowers and other refuse may be disposed of in the wood containers situated conveniently about the grounds. Please carry such refuse in your car to one of these containers.

Lawn Care: Approximately twice a week, as necessary during the growing season, the lawns are cut. All wilted and dead flowers will be removed, and the permanent bronze vases will be restored to their underground receptacle contained in the bronze plaques. Fresh, living-cut flowers only will be returned to their places after the lawn is mowed.

No Artificial Flowers, or other artificial items, are permitted at any time.

Although it is impractical and impossible to create a detailed list of all forms of artificial items, the following list is intended to provide guidance concerning prohibited objects: baskets, bottles, cans, balloons, small trees, wind chimes, wireframes, candles, lights, pictures, knickknacks and all objects of wood, stone, concrete, glass and papier-mâché, etc. Upright decorations (wreaths, crosses, pillows, sprays, etc., on wireframes, easels, or slates, balloons, or decorative trees in an upright position) will not be permitted at any time on plots, attached to bronze plaques, in vases, or anywhere on Pinelawn’s grounds.

Pinelawn is working constantly to maintain a neat, uncluttered, and tidy appearance. Any prohibited items encountered, will be removed and discarded without notice.

Copies of the Complete Rules & Regulations are available upon request.
Warm Weather Rules & Regulations for Mausoleum Crypts & Niches
MAUSOLEUM CRYPTS & NICHES

No planting of any kind may be made relative to any crypt or niche in a Garden Mausoleum.

Floral remembrances must comprise of fresh-cut flowers only, placed in plastic cone vases, in the space provided within the coping in front of each row of crypts or niches.

It should be remembered, however, that for such floral remembrances, space is very limited. So out of consideration for others who have the same privilege, one’s remembrance, which just by its simple presence expresses great feeling, should be modest, limited to one, and should leave space for remembrances to others in the same row.

No object of any kind may be attached to a Garden Mausoleum, its facing or crypt fronts.

Remembrances other than fresh-cut flowers, including bouquets of artificial flowers, artificial decorations or arrangements are prohibited, at any time, and will be removed and discarded, without notice.

These are the most common source of serious, even permanent staining of the memorial crypt and niche fronts. Such damage must be corrected: by eradication if possible, or by replacement of the niche or crypt front, including all inscriptions cut therein, if necessary, at the crypt or niche owner’s expense.

No Artificial Flowers, or other artificial items, are permitted at any time.
