On Saturday, July 17th, Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum hosted a free family-friendly event for Pinelawn families and the community to showcase the beauty and importance of the butterfly. At this fun educational event, guests created a butterfly craft and released Painted Lady butterflies among our colorful, peaceful gardens.

Additionally, Pinelawn brought butterflies to add happiness and wonder for the residents of Sunrise Senior Living in Dix Hills, NY. Hosted in two sessions, one for their senior living residents and their families and one for their reminiscence residents and their families, guests participated in a brief presentation and then released butterflies.
