Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum To Offer Grief Support Workshops
February 28, 2022At Pinelawn Memorial Park, we understand how difficult and emotional it is for families to lose and grieve loved ones who have passed. Whenever we have a service at Pinelawn, you and your family remain in our thoughts, which is why we would like to offer a way to honor the memory of your loved ones.
On Saturday, May 21st – Sunday, May 22nd, we will be holding candlelight remembrance vigils where you and a guest can reflect peacefully as your loved one’s name is read aloud amongst the beautiful outdoor setting of our Louis Natalie Mall, surrounded by the gentle sounds of live string music and the soft glow of string lights. The vigils include a non-denominational sermon before the memorable reading of names. Although we know the passing of someone you hold dear is a painful experience for you and your family, we hope this tranquil evening will be the perfect setting for you to celebrate their memory.
There are four sessions, two on each day, and tickets are limited to two (2) total per deceased loved one. Due to the overwhelming response to this event, we kindly ask that all families who have previously attended this event to refrain from registering again at this time, allowing Pinelawn to support as many additional families as possible at this season’s vigils. We understand that we cannot accommodate all of the families who have lost loved ones throughout this year and in years past. However, we offer several remembrance events throughout the year, including our Fall Candlelight Remembrance Vigil and our Lantern Lighting Celebration, to ensure more families have the opportunity to honor their loved one’s memory.
This event will be hosted in four sessions:
- SATURDAY, MAY 21ST, 6:30 PM SESSION
- SATURDAY, MAY 21ST, 8:30 PM SESSION
- SUNDAY, MAY 22ND, 6:30 PM SESSION
- SUNDAY, MAY 22ND, 8:30 PM SESSION
If you are interested in attending, please register for the session you wish to attend and add the information of your loved one.
If you are registered for the event, you may submit a photo of your loved one here.
