What would you like to share about your loved one’s service and dedication within the military?
My dad did everything with all his heart. A favorite story of ours that my dad shared with us was when he first joined the Army. As I remember he was driving a dump truck on his way to a 2 week summer camp assignment. The caravan moved along without incident and upon arrival dad was to back up the truck and dump the contents into a previously dug hole in the ground. Being that this was his first time operating this kind of vehicle, he grabbed the lever to release the contents and the entire back of the truck fell into the hole. All my dad said he heard was ETTER being screamed at the top of everyone's lungs. Thus his reputation began.
What is your favorite memory of your loved one? This does not have to be related to his/her military service.
Absolutely every memory about my dad is a favorite. It's impossible to choose just one. He was an amazing dad and grandpa and we miss him beyond words.
