What would you like to share about your loved one’s service and dedication within the military?
Dad started his service in the US Army's Coast Artillery and went through Basic Training before transferring to the Air Force, which at the time was not yet a separate service branch. After learning to fly he was sent to England and was based with his crew in Horsham-St. Faith. He flew 31 missions in the B-24 over Nazi Germany and occupied France before coming home from the War. He earned the Distinguished Flying Cross for his efforts.
What is your favorite memory of your loved one? This does not have to be related to his/her military service.
Visiting him at work in Manhattan as a child and then later having the privilege to be able to work for him in his business in the Garment District for a short time.
