Evergreen holiday decorations are permitted during the winter holiday season only, Thanksgiving Day to mid-January. A general cleanup of all winter decorations will begin mid-January, weather permitting, in no particular order.
Plot Decorations: Decorations such as blankets, sprays and wreaths, consisting of a living evergreen base, which may be decorated with artificial materials, are permitted on plots. All such decorations must lie flat on the plot and cannot encroach onto the neighboring plots. Upright wreaths, sprays, blankets, decorative trees, artificial flowers, etc. are prohibited. The use of stakes, spikes, nails, rods, posts, etc. to secure decorations to the plot or bronze memorial is prohibited. Driving stakes, and such, into the ground could cause damage to irrigation lines, equipment, etc. Also, Pinelawn’s staff must be able to temporarily remove decorations to clear the area for funeral services, when necessary.
Mausoleum Decorations: Decorations such as small wreaths, crosses, and arrangements consisting of a living evergreen base, which may be trimmed with artificial materials, will be permitted. Available space and consideration of others dictates that all decorations be kept to a reasonable size and not exceed the height of the bottom crypt, obscure the inscription of the bottom crypt or encroach onto the walkways. Small living evergreen trees are permitted and must be placed in a plastic cone vase. Living potted evergreen trees or plants are permitted so long as the width of the pot does not exceed 3 inches in diameter and must be placed in a plastic cone vase. All potted evergreen trees/plants in pots that exceed 3 inches in width, evergreen trees in stands and all artificial trees and decorations are strictly prohibited and will be removed and discarded, without notice.
Holiday decorations placed prior to Thanksgiving or any decorations placed in contrary to the rules and regulations mentioned above will be removed and discarded, without notice.
