April 19, 2021On Saturday, June 5th from 3 pm to 4:30 pm, Pinelawn Memorial Park And Arboretum invites families to learn all about the wonders of honey bees! At this free event, Pinelawn explains the importance of honey bees in our environment and provides a safe, up-close look at these marvelous insects. Pinelawn hosts 5 bee hives on property, housing over 250,000 honey bees that play a vital role in pollinating various gardens, trees and shrubs in our community.
This is a fun event for all ages!
- Honey Bee Craft – Painting wood for future hive assembly! Dress for a mess (acrylic paint)! Aprons and supplies provided.

- Fresh Honey Tasting
- Observe “Honey on the Comb” up close
- “Find the Queen” children’s activity using an observation hive
