Join Pinelawn Memorial Park And Arboretum as we demonstrate the use of integrated pest management to control a common pest, the Aphid. At this free kid-friendly event, Pinelawn explains how Aphids cause harm to the health of a variety of plant material and how we can control their population by introducing their natural predator, the Lady Beetle (also known as the Ladybug).
This is a fun, hands-on event as guests release over 150,000 ladybugs in Pinelawn’s rose garden. Each child gets to create a ladybug craft to take home and explain all they have learned. Light refreshments will be served. This is a FREE event, but registration is required. Sign-in begins at 11:30 am at the administration building.
