Fall Pumpkin Decoration Guidelines
September 27, 2019The Over 50 Fair will amaze the large crowd of Long Island Baby Boomers and seniors who will attend this year’s event. The Over 50 Fair, in its 10th year, returns to the Hilton Long Island/Huntington on Sunday, September 15 from 10-4:30.
This year’s event will feature a blackjack table with “funny money” where attendees can play the popular casino game, compliments of New York Entertainment. There will be live tropical music including a special acoustic set, with favorites by The Beatles, Neil Diamond, The Monkees and Frankie Valli. The 2018 Over 50 Fair had record attendance with over 700 Baby Boomers and seniors. Each year, attendees enjoy over 80 diverse vendors, 30 exceptional classes, a singles lounge, live music, beauty queens, and more.
The Over 50 Fair is the brainchild of East Hills resident Barbara Kaplan, who also coordinates the hugely successful All Kids Fair each April. She said that the Over 50 Fair is “’ Overflowing with Opportunities for Age 50+.’ Our attendees enjoy free health screenings and consults, tech support, and much more.” Vendors will be promoting local products and services including health and wellness, education, travel, and financial services.
As a bag sponsor, Pinelawn Memorial Park And Arboretum will have a booth at this year’s event with information on the benefits of pre-planning, their upcoming events, and more information about their property. Additionally, they will be offering a class from 11:30 am until 12:15 pm called “Protect Yourself & Your Family with Memorial Property Pre-Planning” with Michael Dunn, John Graziano, and Allan Klein.
Admission tickets, which include access to all classes, exhibitors, and attractions are $6 online, $8 at the door, and free for Veterans with ID. Attendees may bring one adult child free with their paid admission. The Hilton Long Island/Huntington is located at 598 Broad Hollow Road, Melville, just south of the Long Island Expressway.
