What would you like to share about your loved one’s service and dedication within the military?
Our dad was a very proud veteran of the Korean War. He served honorably from 1952-1954 in the United States Army as a member of the 45th Infantry Division achieving the rank of Sergeant. For his service, he earned the Combat Infantry Badge, Korean Service and National Defense Service medals. He later joined the Korean War Veteran's Association and took part in many events (Rose of Sharon sales and flag laying at Pinelawn Memorial Cemetery) as well as celebrations where he was honored and recognized for his service.
What is your favorite memory of your loved one? This does not have to be related to his/her military service.
Our dad took care of his family his entire life. We were very lucky to have him in our lives until he was 92. His wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will always cherish him and all the wonderful things he did for our family.
