What would you like to share about your loved one’s service and dedication within the military?
During the Korean War Martin served as an Operating Room Technician in the 121st Evacuation Hospital in Yongdong-puka South Korea. He was very proud of his service always saying he felt he was doing an important and vital service for his country. He had many memories and stories to tell, some sad and some funny. One story was the hospital was bombed, most of the nurses and doctors ran to get the patients to safety but the operating team (he included) had to continue as best they could to finish the operation.
What is your favorite memory of your loved one? This does not have to be related to his/her military service.
I have so many wonderful memories of the life Marty and I shared. We danced on roller skates as well as in our dancing shoes. For about 19 years we left Long Island at 5:30am to drive to South Amboy New Jersey to roller skate! The picture of us roller skating in from the front page of the "Life" section of Newsday.
