On Sunday, August 8th, Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum hosted our popular family-friendly event, the 4th Annual Ladybug Release, which demonstrated the use of integrated pest management to naturally control a common pest. Despite the rain, we saw a great turnout including over 60 girl scouts, as we learned about these beneficial insects and released them into our rose gardens.

Additionally, Pinelawn brought this fun educational event to the residents of Sunrise Senior Living in Dix Hills, NY. Residents learned about the benefits of the Ladybug and had the opportunity to release some Ladybugs into the plants at the facility.
