What would you like to share about your loved one’s service and dedication within the military?
My father was very dedicated to the US Army and his job as a medic. Despite suffering a head injury which shortened his career, he went on to dedicate 30 years of his life to the Brentwood Ambulance- even delivering two babies, in an effort to continue his passion to help others, as well as serve his local AMVET organization for 15 years
What is your favorite memory of your loved one? This does not have to be related to his/her military service.
As a teenager, my father was driving me to the mall one day. On the way, we came upon a motorcycle accident that had just occurred. My father quickly pulled over, jumped out of the car and assessed the individuals medical situation. At that time, cell phones and beepers were not a thing-my father ran to the car, grabbed his medical kit and quickly began cutting the man's pants -as my father had determined the man's leg was significantly broken. The man was yelling at my dad "don't cut my pants- these are new pants!" And all i could think of was how amazing my dad was
